NOVA NOTE: 6 MOUNTING PINS ON BACK INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS · Remove the glove box plastic cover from glove box door by removing Phillips head screws from top and bottom of door. · Remove all remains of original emblem. I prefer to break off from front as it leaves better locating to drill out pins from front than back of panel. Drill out remainder of pins using 3/32” (.090) drill. · Hold new emblem securely against plastic cover and form a “rivet-like head” from protruding pins on rear. Do this using the heated end of an old screwdriver or other flat tool. Use care and just enough heat to “smoosh” rather than melt the ABS pins. Use too little heat at first to get the “feel” of the plastic. Your rounded heads should be about 1/8” high when completed. If too high, they will hit the glove box door. · Always use a little bead of silicone rubber or body sealer when installing plastic cover back onto glove box door. This helps prevent rattles. Use care when tightening Phillips head screws; they will break plastic tabs if over-tightened.
